Zoom May Launch Email Service Soon to Compete with Google and Microsoft

Zoom Latest News: The numbers of Zoom users have rapidly increased during this COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of users have started to use Zoom services for work from home and other reasons. But after a continuous successful run of Zoom Video conference apps and services, it seems like this company is going to launch an email service soon. If this happens then it will be a direct flight with two tech giants Google and Microsoft.

According to a report by The Information, Zoom is working on email service to compete with Google and Microsoft. Not only that, but the company is also reportedly looking at launching a calendar app soon. This will undoubtedly grab some percent of users from Gmail and Outlook.

Tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Apple has extended their work from home campaign till June 2021. So, most probably there will be a few months delay for Zoom to launch an email service. We have to keep in mind that the competitors – Google and Microsoft hold the major of the major percent of online email users. At this moment if Zoom is going to launch an email service then they have to grow slowly.

2020 has been an extraordinary year for Zoom. At the beginning of the year, it’s market capitalisation value was close $19 billion. It was reported that in November 2020, Zoom’s value had shot up to close to $140 billion. Despite a few security glitches and issues, Zoom has had quite a dream run in 2020. Launching an email service could very well be the next big step for Zoom to take in order to compete with the likes of Google and Microsoft.
