Henry the Hoover

Written by admin on Thursday, August 21st, 2008 in devices and gadgets.

Henry the Hoover
I think I need a USB-powered vacuum for my notebook keyboard, what with my late nights in front of the computer and all, along with a steady diet of pizza and other pastries which tend to leave plenty of crumbs in between my keys. Henry the Hoover looks like a pretty nice guy to help me out in my crumbed predicament. Now in a mini desktop size, this Henry the Hoover is your desktop crumb buster. Pop in the batteries, press on and get vacuuming up the remnance of your tea break. Empty your crumbs by unscrewing Henry’s hat and tipping the contents into the bin. Silly yet practical, this cheeky chappy deserves a space on any self respecting biscuit fan’s worktop. (Read the full post about ‘Henry the Hoover’…)

The Computer-Mouse Star for those committed to looks instead of comfort
This is one of those products that you can tell they really strive to get a product name that is really out there and over the top as far as creative goes. They call it the Computer-Mouse Star, they should give the guy that named it a raise. I never could have come up with something that original. It just describes the product so perfectly, after all it is a computer mouse that is shaped like a star. Which is no doubt extremely ergonomic and overly comfortalbe all around to use. That pointy little star wouldn’t be in the least bit awkward to use or even the slightest bit uncomfortable. Well for those committed to their love for stars, this mouse would be a cute accessory to your computer. Plantronics Headset Brings Dolby Surround Sound to Gamers
For gamers planning marathon play sessions, Plantronics and Dolby say they have a new headphone that will help reduce ‘listening fatigue’. The headset, GameCom 777, comes with Dolby Digital 5.1 technology and processes two-channel stereo audio into five channels of surround sound. The idea is to give gamers rich audio that can help them play war and action games better by being able to pinpoint where the sound is coming from, says Plantronics. The GameCom 777 headphone has Dolby ProLogic II technology in a plug-and-play USB sound card and a boom mike discreetly tucked into the headband. Written by admin on Thursday, August 21st, 2008 in devices and gadgets.

When Electronic Arts decided that they needed a “global quality assurance center,” they had a pretty easy task. Find a place where lots of people play video games. So what did they do? Well, they found a nice, big state university and they’re setting up shop.

Today, EA and Louisiana State University announced the gaming giant’s commitment to create more than 200 jobs with an annual payroll of around US$6 million for kids to test new EA Sports titles.
