The Design Museum Shop, like any other museum shop, is a treasure trove of plastic tat. Unlike the usual museum shop, which is a cynical money-sink for school kids on day trips, the Design Museum aspires to a higher level of junk: the novelty pencil sharpeners nestle among overpriced miniature replicas of Verner Panton chairs, for example

On this occasion, though, the product is both cheap and good. The Icon Notepad is a notepad in the form of a notepad icon (I just wasted ten minutes trying to make that sentence into a palindrome). It’ll cost you £5 ($10) and make the true geek chuckle every time he uses it, whilst simultaneously annoying anyone who needs to make more than five lines of notes.
