SIMable unlocks your mobile
If you’ve been wanting an easier way to unlock your mobile phone then you’ll want to check out the latest gadget put out by 24/7 Mobile Solutions Ltd. It’s called SIMable and the solution consists of an ultra thin chip which can be attached to a SIM card. It is said to be compatible with a majority of mobile handsets including 3G devices. SIMable works by fooling the mobile phone into thinking that it has been unlocked. The device comes with a manufactured cutting press which allows the user to drill a tiny hole into the SIM card which is required by SIMable. Once the hole is cut then SIMable is simply aligned with the SIM card and inserted into the mobile phone. (Read the full post about ‘SIMable unlocks your mobile’…)

A lot of consumers may have been excited when Apple finally launched the hyped iphone. There was one group that wasn’t too thrilled about it. That would be the folks over at Research In Motion (RIM). Research In Motion is the manufacturer of BlackBerry handhelds and RIM also provides the service and software related to supporting the BlackBerry.

HANNSpree Starlight Blue is Unusual

HANNSpree Starlight Blue is Unusual
HANNSpree surprises everyone again with a new LCD TV known as Starlight Blue, and this model looks as though it was plucked out from the imagination of a wacky person who has had too much weed. Inspired by a starry night sky, a little bit of light on this 15″ LCD TV will let its diamond polycarbonate materials sparkle, and is described by HANNSpree “like stars on a clear, starry night”. I would say that this is an acquired taste, so unless you are willing to suffer the criticisms of some visitors to your home, get something else which is more…conventional. 1,024 x 768 XGA resolution 500cd/m2 brightness 500:1 contrast ratio 150 degrees viewing angle 2 x 2 Watt speakersThe Starlight Blue will retail for £99 direct from HANNspree. Every Grand Theft Auto IV review is heaping a lot of praise on the game, and I hope that I can find out what the big deal is. I’m about two hours into the game, and I just wanted to share some first impressions, before everyone goes out and makes their inevitable purchase. Not to say that you shouldn’t probably buy it, but read on if you want to hear some negatives.

Graphically, the game is a cut above every other GTA title. This is to be expected, since it’s the first time the title has appeared on current-gen systems. As a lifelong New Yorker, it’s quite impressive to drive through neighborhoods you recognize.

by Paul Miller, posted Apr 28th 2008 at 9:40AM The last thing you want to do in a combat situation is bust out a keyboard and mouse and start clicking away just to send some simple commands via your embedded computer. Now RallyPoint, a Cambridge, MA-based startup, is building a new computer interface glove so that soldiers can operate their computers in the field without taking their hands off their gun. The Handwear Computer Input Device (HCID) has a whole mess of sensors built-in, including push-button sensors in the pinky, fourth finger and index, finger, a mouse-like sensor in the index finger and a trio of accelerometers on the back of the hand. Here we are with the DXG-569V HD camcorder which won’t break the bank with its $169 price tag. While it won’t do full HD, it is still capable of recording HD video up to 1,280 x 720 at 30 fps for crystal clear memories, although the 32MB of internal memory will fill up faster than you can get a decent clip in. Thankfully, they have included an SD/SDHC memory card slot which ought to go a long way in helping you preserve memories in HD. Other features are as follows :-

  • 3″ TFT display
  • 5 megapixel CMOS sensor for still image shooting
  • Digital voice recorder
  • Mass storage device capability
  • TV-out
  • 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios

The color choice isn’t too exciting though, with only silver or black at your disposal.
