Senseo Base HD7810 Coffee-maker for one

I have to admit that I am not a coffee drinker, but I know that many of my readers probably can’t live without it. Maybe you are the type who drinks the whole pot made by your coffee maker, but right now, I would like to speak to those who only just need one in the morning That’s right, for all you single people who awake in the morning with only a mild need for caffeine, there is finally a product for you. Senseo, in cooperation with Philips, has created a series of coffee makers, and I got a chance to try out the Senseo Base HD7810. The HD7810 had a very easy setup, and all that it required from the user is to fill the metal, dishwasher safe canister and add a coffee-making pod. The pods are these pre-packaged coffee-ground and filter combinations that resemble circular teabags, and they come in many flavors. Texas University to Give iPhones to Freshmen
Abilene Christian University (ACU) will equip each and every one of its new students with an iphone or an ipod Touch. The official line is that the students can "receive homework alerts, answer in-class surveys and quizzes, get directions to their professors’ offices, and check their meal and account balances", amongst other things. We can make a guess at the unofficial reasons. First, promising the current hottest gadget is bound to scare up some extra enrollments. Second, kitting the kids out with cellphones and iPods is a lot cheaper than providing them with notebook PCs. The University is already well down the road of making software, with "more than 15 other useful web applications already developed". Per Emanuelsson and Bastian Bischoff’s Surveillance Light is a standard lamp made in the aspect of that modern day Big Brother, the CCTV camera. In fact, the pair namecheck 1984 as an inspiration.

The design is somewhere between concept and reality. The lamp isn’t yet in production, but you can pick one up on ebay. It will make the perfect gift to taunt a tinfoil-hat wearing friend.

Why hasn’t anyone hacked the Kindle?

Why hasn’t anyone hacked the Kindle?
Posted Feb 28th 2008 6:18AM by Ryan BlockFiled under: Handhelds You know, the Kindle runs Linux, has USB, uses all standard processors and chipsets, even comes with free built-in EV-DO — you’d kind of think that stuff (and all the rest) would make it about as high a profile target for hardware modders and hackers as there are. So what gives, why hasn’t the hacker community glommed onto this thing? Hit the poll: anyone can answer, but we really want to hear from the über-geeks in the house why the call to Kindle has gone unheeded. What’s your take on Kindle hacking?I’m a Kindle owner — help us out, hacker community!I’ve got a Kindle but hacks don’t mean much. Now bring on the Dickens!Would like to. Asus ZX1 Lamborghini Branded Phone

Asus ZX1 Lamborghini Branded Phone

Asus is launching their ZX1 touch screen phone which will be branded by Lamborghini. It will run the Windows Mobile 6 Pro (probably 6.1) when it arrives and feature a full touch screen which will be a completely flat display integrated in to the housing just like an iphone. On the connectivity side we will see 3G data support, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and it will be powered by a 520MHz Qualcomm processor. With the ZX1 being branded by Lamborghini this means you will see the regular Lambborghini colours for the casing of the phone which I assume will be yellow and black. However, I do hope that an equivalent of the ZX1 will hit the market with out the Lamborghini brand as it seems that the famous badge is only there to increase the price for no real reason.
