Nikon’s S600 rounds out the new Coolpix lineup
Posted Feb 9th 2008 6:03PM by Paul MillerFiled under: Digital Cameras We’re not how it slipped by before, but Nikon’s got one more in its new S-series Coolpix cameras, the S600. The 10 megapixel camera bests the recently-announced S550 with a 2.7-inch LCD, 3200 ISO and optical image stabilization, but cuts the zoom to 4x and jacks the price to $299. The camera will be available in March. [Via gizmag]Tags: technology, gprs, lcd, video game (Read the full post about ‘Nikon’s S600 rounds out the new Coolpix lineup’…)

Casio G-ShockMRG-8000G Shocks With a High-End Ultra-Limited Watch
To celebrate G-Shock’s Silver anniversary, Casio released a special ultra-limited edition watch. When I say limited edition, I meant 200 pieces limited edition. The severely limited number of manufactured G-Shock MRG-8000G watches allows Casio to sell this luxe timepiece for a whopping 2,400. The metal elements of the MRG-8000G have a gold-plated finish; the face itself boasting a titanium bezel. Good thing the MRG-8000G is a limited edition, and hence, is slated to become a collector’s item. In my opinion, aside from the fact that it comes with an 18 carat ring, there’s not much reason why you’d choose this over a Rolex of the same price if it’s sold normally in the market. Gadgets In our opinion, the best rigs are the ones held together with duct tape and wired up with leftover speaker cable, but if you’re looking to class things up — and avoid any number of potential fire issues — NASA’s got you covered with the agency’s official Workmanship Standards Pictorial Reference. Would you give up sex for a 50-inch TV?
Are you desperate enough to do anything just to own a 50-inch plasma TV? So desperate that you’re willing to give up sex for 6 months? Surprisingly, a new survey estimates that more than 25 million Brits find this proposition reasonable. No mate, this is not a joke! Conducted by electrical retailer Comet among 2,000 respondents, about half (47%) of British men surveyed said yes to celibacy while only 35% of British women shared the same sentiment. It turned out vanity is the root of this craziness. In the words of the company’s Commercial Director, Bob Darke: “We are surprised to see just how much the nation would be willing to give up for a 50-inch plasma TV. Written by admin on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 in devices and gadgets.

This telephone has the capability of changing the users voice, maybe it is a good investment for pranksters? Or spies?

Basically it is a normal phone, with the only extra feature being a voice modulation switch, which you can regulate to pick a high, or low pitch for your voice.

Unlike other telephones, this one comes with a back brace, in case you want to mount it on the wall. It is kind of cheap for the occasional prank, only $10.

All you need is a standard land line connection to plug this phone in, and the fun can begin.

All-in-one Pulse Smartpen: handwriting and audio recording
All of us attending lectures wish to possess such a device that would be able to store and reproduce the information given by professors. Of course it’s possible to use a simple voice recorder for this purpose, yet it will not help you much, because both aural and visual memories should be involved in the process of memorizing in order to ensure its high efficiency. But now you can stop worrying about this because Livescribe has just presented its new product. Pulse Smartpen represents a pen with embedded computer that captures handwriting and simultaneously records audio, synchronizing it to the writing. Users simply tap on the word to replay what was recorded while writing this word. (Read the full post about ‘All-in-one Pulse Smartpen: handwriting and audio recording’…)

ZTE, the largest telecom equipment manufacturer in China, has officially entered the competitive U.S. mobile phone industry with an entry-level mobile handset, ZTE C88. Leadertone announces more details on their LT-GPS9100C GPS
Back at CES, Leadertone - a chinese GPS company, had on display a new GPS that seemed to be a pretty interesting high-end GPS unit. It comes with a really long model name of LT-GPS9100C, but it features a Innolux 4.3-inch touch screen. It also comes with 64MB of memory, USB port, SD memory expansion, and built-in speakers. Furthermore, it comes with Bluetooth capability for hands free calling and the battery is replaceable. Unfortunately, it probably won’t make its way to the States, but it has already been released in Saudi Arabia, although, the price is unknown. ZAP Alias: An Automobile Missing One Tyre; Faster than a Porsche!
Yep, you read that right. This automobile is missing one tyre, but it can run faster than a fancy Porsche… …granted the car company actually finishes the design. Manufactured by ZAP with the help of the British company, Lotus, this three-wheeled car named “ZAP Alias” can accelerate from rest to 60mph in an astonishing 5.7 seconds. The sports car is powered by two electric wheel motors, located on each of the two wheels at the front (it’s the back that only has one wheel as you can see on the pic) which, together, produces 321.85 horse power and a top speed of 156mph. The same power seen on conventional cars is demonstrated by the Porsche 911 Carrera which costs 60,000.
