Le Million - The most expencive cell phone?
There is no need to talk about the significant role of cell phones in our life. The fact that they turned into something really necessary and important explains why almost everybody has a cell phone. Thus, people started paying more attention not just to the functionality of these devices, but to the way they look as well. As a consequence we got a great variety of them pretty looking phones. Recently Swedish company Goldwish designed Le Million cell phone that is considered to be the most expensive in the world. It’s made of red, yellow and white gold and encrusted with diamonds of 120 carats. Moreover its backboard is covered with crocodile leather. Gateway’s new GM5664 desktop does Blu-ray and HD DVD, has kid brother that doesn’t
Posted Jan 30th 2008 10:51AM by Joshua TopolskyFiled under: DesktopsGateway is releasing two new desktops today, both sporting some features we’ve grown accustomed to, but also introducing some new hotness into the typically stale market. The new models — the GM5664 and GT5662 — share a slew of the same features, like the ATI Radeon HD 2400XT graphics card, 3GB of RAM, and 8-channel 7.1 audio, but they also have some notable differences. The GM5664 comes equipped with a Hybrid-SuperMulti optical drive, which gives you the ability to play Blu-ray or HD DVDs to your heart’s content, while also handling typical DVD-RW functions. The system is also packed with a 2.3GHz AMD Phenom 9600 CPU, 1TB hard drive array, and an analog / digital TV tuner. Sony intros the makeup-inducing PCS-XG80 1080i video conferencing system
Posted Jan 30th 2008 9:25AM by Joshua TopolskyFiled under: Digital Cameras, HDTV The kind, loving folks over at Sony claim that they’re about to explode the video conferencing market wide open — HD style — and we’ve got front row seats to the festivities. According to the electronics-maker, the PCS-XG80 is the industry’s first 1080i, HD conferencing solution, and will provide dual streaming, 30 FPS performance over IP or ISDN connections. The system is backwards-compatible with its older SD setups, and we assume it plays nice with the behemoth’s earlier HD effort, the PCS-HG90 — though you might want to double check on that before dropping the $8,999 that the company is asking for the system. Wireless Charging for Upcoming WMG Devices

Wireless Charging for Upcoming WMG Devices
It is reported that Wireless Mobile Group (WMG) will integrate Slaspower’s wireless charging technology in the batteries of its smartphones. We can only hope that other vendors will adopt this or some thing similar that would make wireless charging more popular. Right now, it is unfortunately a small niche. If you haven’t heard of SlashPower before, their wireless charging works by magnetic induction. It requires a module or preferably a complete integration in the device itself. Moldable Mouse Design Concept

Moldable Mouse Design Concept
Now this is definitely one left-hander-friendly mouse - the Moldable Mouse concept. This concept by Lite-On sees the mouse being made out of lightweight modeling clay, complete with a flexible polyurethane and nylon fabric cover which allows one to mold it into whatever shape that your hand loves. I guess this means the mouse can double up as a stress ball as well. Heck, even the radio-frequency controlled stick-on mouse buttons and touch-sensitive scroll pad can be placed in different positions according to your liking. Hopefully should it ever make it to production lines, the Moldable Mouse will come in more than just one color. (Read the full post about ‘Moldable Mouse Design Concept’…)

NEC Flask Phone sports fuel cell, not for human consumption

NEC Flask Phone sports fuel cell, not for human consumption
NEC is set to begin pushing fuel cell-powered handsets if the pic we see here can be believed. The handset features a touchscreen display and what appears to be valve to potentially recharge the handset once the fuel has all been used. Color choices are a bit too pastel for our liking, but it appears the liquid provides the color, so perhaps we’ll get some cooler tones when it’s released sometime this year — if it’s released. No word on any specs, pricing, networks, or anything, so until we get that bit of detail sorted, enjoy the pretty pic.
