Verizon Wireless Gleam in purple
Written by admin on January 28th, 2008 in devices and gadgets.
Samsung has just made available its Gleam cell phone to Verizon Wireless in a brand new color - purple. I’ve always liked this color, and I suppose there must be enough people in the market like me for Samsung to come to that decision. Unfortunately, I don’t want to be tied down to another 2-year agreement so I’ll give this a pass for the moment. But enough about me - let’s get to the nitty gritty on what the Gleam has to offer to the masses. This shiny and slim clamshell handset comes with a living wallpaper user interface and is readily available at all Verizon Wireless Communications Stores as well as online.
What does living wallpaper mean? For starters, it enables Verizon Wireless customers to check out the phone’s status with a city or country view which will automatically change with the time of day, so you can save your brain a couple of synapse trips in figuring out whether it is in the AM or PM in Paris while you’re busy lounging around on the beaches of Miami. In addition, the handset comes with the same multimedia and messaging capabilities found in the original
metallic Gleam, including such as Get It Now, Mobile Web 2.0, V CAST Music and Video, Instant Messaging using AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, and text, picture and video messaging.
If you’re interested in picking up the Purple Gleam, it retails for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract with Verizon Wireless.
